The project needed to guarantee the minimum size for a nursing home in accordance with local regulations so that greatest number of residents could receive necessary health care.
In order for the building to be erected in keeping with the monumental character of the garden, a very original façade was designed which addressed its relationship with the edge of the wood as well as with the monumental brick building. The wooden slats of the sun control system shimmers through the trees like a continuation of the edge of the wood. Viewed from the main building, the same wooden slats form a continuation of the building. What is also amazing is that this phenomenon is formed by the Hunter Douglas sun control systems, while the actual façade is made of glass and offers the residents a pleasant enviornment and a great view of the garden.
