Specially designed ceiling and wall coverings by Hunter Douglas Architectural installed at Rotterdam Alexander Station.

Hunter Douglas Architectural developed a specially designed BXD multi-panel system as a ceiling and wall system, installed in the station building and on the platform of Alexander Station, Rotterdam – The Netherlands. The architects involved used the quality of their systems for indoor and outdoor spaces and their technical services. Rotterdam Alexander station transport hub, opened in 1968, is located on the busy railway line between Utrecht and Rotterdam and is an important hub for long-distance travelers and commuters. It is named after the then crown prince, now king of the Netherlands: Willem Alexander. The renovation and conversion works took two years to complete and were completed in June 2020.
