Sun LouvresFor Alexander Graham Bell House, its new corporate headquarters, British Telecom (BT) wanted a technologically advanced, work-friendly environment - the essence of BT's "workstyle" approach. Architects Bennetts Associates paid careful attention to these themes in their design, creating a building that was praised for its concept and construction. Sun louvers from Hunter Douglas are a critical part of the facility. They not only shade the internal spaces from sun and glare to reduce energy demands, but also give BT's flagship offices their distinctive external appearance. The building won several awards, including RIBA and BCO. It is located in Edinburgh Park, a prestigious corporate development in Scotland with a master plan created by architect Richard Meier.
